For some reason my invoices are not charging sales tax. can you tell me how to check this.

Yes, I can show you how to check to make sure your sales tax is on. Follow below to see the different ways you can check.

 

Step 1: You can go to the Taxes tab and go to the Sales Tax section. This is where you'll see if the sales tax is turned on or off.

 

Step 2: Let's go to a recent invoice that was not charging sales tax. You'll need to examine two spots on the invoice.

  • Under the "Tax" section, check the box to add sales tax to the price.
  • Under the "subtotal" area, you'll see Sales Tax and the price.
