Hello! I conduct business 2 ways in person sales for which I have on hand inventory for and a website which is not my inventory. How do I enter these sales?

It's great to see you back in the QuickBooks Community. I can walk you through some steps that could be an option for your business about how to enter these sales into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. 

You can use single sales receipts to record total daily sales in QBO if you use a separate Point of Sale program (If you simply don't invoice customers). This will help keep your reports accurate. 

Here's how: 

Step 1: Create a customer for daily sales

1. Go to the Sales tab in the left-hand menu bar. 
2. Select the Customers section. 
3. Enter "Daily Sales."
4. Press Save. 

Step 2: Set up accounts for daily sales

1. In the toolbar at the top right-hand corner, click on the Gear (Settings) icon. 
2. Pick Chart of Accounts under the "Your Company" column. 
3. Hit New at the top right. 

Step 3: Set up items for daily sales

You can set up a category to keep your item organized. Afterward, the items are next to set up. 

Step 4: Create the Sales Receipt

1. Go to the +New button on the left-hand menu bar. 
2. Under the "Customers" portion, choose Sales Receipt. 
3. Enter all the required information and tap Save and Close when ready.
