Question

Hello is there a way to set a template for the invoice i.e. notes on the bottom of the invoice and note in email so I don't have to reset it every new invoice? Thanks!

Hello @contact79,

You can add a note to your customer when you create an invoice. QuickBooks saves it, so there's no need for you to re-enter it. You can also customize the message for your email and apply it to all your invoices. Let me walk you through the steps.

  1. Go to the Invoices tab, and then Create invoice.
  2. Scroll down towards the Note to Customer section, then type in your note for your customer.
  3. Click the Customize gear icon at the top. Then, Email.
  4. Enter your note at the Message field.
  5. Hit Preview. Then, Save.

With these steps, you're able to save a message to your customer on the invoice. We have a handy article on how to create an invoice in QBSE that I'm sure you'll find helpful.

We also have a guide on how to add your company logo to invoices that you might want to check.

That'll do it. Please know that you're welcome to come back to this thread if you have other questions or concerns. We're here to lend a hand. Thanks for visiting us today and have a good one.
