Question

Hi, I have my quickbooks set up so that the different properties we manage represent one class. How do I print out a P&L for just one class rather than all of them?

I'm here to ensure you're able to print your Profit and Loss report for one class, @wsymonds1.

To start with, let's customize your Profit and Loss by Class report. Then, filter the information to show only one class. I'll guide on how to achieve this:

  1. Let's go to the Reports menu.
  2. Enter and look for Profit and Loss by Class report in the search bar.
  3. Click Customize then choose your desired Report periodAccounting Method, etc.
  4. Hover to the Filter drop-down ▼.
  5. Check the Class checkbox then select Specified in the drop-down ▼ to pick a certain class to pull up in your report.
  6. Hit Run Report to save the actions made.

Once done with the steps, you can now print this report. You'll just have to click the print icon then tap the Print button to do this task.

Feel free to read through this article to learn more on how to customize reports in QuickBooks Online. This way, you're able to get the desired formats and personalize details for your reports: How to customize reports in QBO?.
