How do I add the ability to invoice customers to an account that only has payroll

To use the Invoice feature, you'll have to subscribe to QuickBooks Online if you're only using the standalone payroll. You can use the trial version to test the available features.

Whenever you're ready to subscribe you can bookmark these steps.

1. Go this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/.
2. Choose the QuickBooks version that fits your business.
3. You can click the radio button to choose from a regular subscription or trial subscription. I added a screenshot to see how it looks like.
   
   
   
   
4. You can click the Try it free button (for trial version) or Buy now button (for regular subscription) below the QB version.
