Let me share some steps and information on deactivating your independent contractor, @ANACNRVP.

I know the importance of being able to deactivate a contractor so that when we create a bill, we only see the names of active vendors or contractors. You can follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Expenses in the left panel.
  3. Select Contractors, then open the contractor you want to deactivate.
  4. Under the name of the contractor, click the dropdown arrow.
  5. Select Mark as Inactive.

Moreover, if you want to know how to create refunds for your vendors, please refer to this article: Enter vendor credits and refunds in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you still have questions or concerns about your contractor. Have a great day, and take care always.
