How do i show an unpaid bill has been paid?

I'll take care of your question about recording a bill payment in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

There are 2 ways we can go about doing this. You can create a Bill Payment transaction to pay a single bill or multiple bills at a time. 

To mark a single bill as paid:

1. Highlight the Expenses tab.
2. Select Vendors.
3. From the list, click on the vendor associated with the bill you want to mark as paid.
4. Under the Transaction List tab, look for the bill in question and tap on it.
5. On the Bill page, hit the Make payment button.
6. On the Bill Payment page, ensure that the amount on the Amount box is correct. 
7. Also, ensure that only the bill you want to mark as paid has a check on it.
8. Press Save and close.

If you'd like to mark multiple bills as paid:

1. Go to the + New menu.
2. Select Pay bills.
3. From the Payment account drop-down menu, select the correct bank account where the payment came from. 
4. Edit the Payment date if necessary. 
5. Tick the checkboxes for all bills you want to mark as paid. 
6. Ensure the amount on the Amount box is correct.
7. Press Save and close.
