You can create a billable expense transaction, Joshuawilson12. I'm here to guide you.

It's an expense you incur on your customer's behalf. You can easily record this transaction so your customer can reimburse you by creating an invoice.

First, we'll have to turn on the feature. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. Go to the Expenses tab.
  4. Click the Pencil icon in the Bills and expenses section.
  5. Tick the Show Items table on expense and purchase forms, Track expenses and items by customer, and Make expenses and items billable boxes.
  6. Click Save, then Done.

Then, enter a billable expense and link the job. Here's how:

  1. Click the New or Plus sign (+) button.
  2. Select either Bill, Expense, or Check.
  3. Select the payee, and expense account for the transaction.
  4. Tick the Billable box, then select the customer/job.
  5. Click Save and close

If the customer's ready to reimburse the amount, link the billable expense to an invoice. Just follow Step 3 in the article.
