How do you assign inventory to a specific customer? For example we buy caulk in bulk

When we used Quickbooks Desktop we make an inventory adjustment and assign it to the customer. That option is not available in QB online.

No it is not available in QBO

 

Assign?  In desktop you can not reserve inventory for a customer, so I am not sure what you are referring to.  Using an inventory adjustment sends the cost of the inventory to the expense account selected in desktop, regardless of whether or not it was invoiced.

When we made an adjustment to quantity on hand we were able to select the customer.  The field is not available in the QB online inventory adjustment screen.
