Allow me to share some information about printing checks in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Currently, the option to turn off the Print later button is unavailable.
However, there are two ways to ensure that your created checks are in order.
First is to manually enter the check number without checking the Print later option. Note that you have to print them one by one.
Next is to mark the Print later option then when you'll need to print them make sure to enter the Starting check no. so the number will be assigned and increment to each checks.
Also, I've added an article that will help guide you to align checks when printing.
Please know that you can always post here if you have QuickBooks concerns. I'll be around to help. Take care always.
Print Later continually puts a check mark in the Print Later box...cannot keep it unchecked. Is there something in Settings that would accomplish this?
There are times that the browser stores frequently-accessed data, thus causing websites, like QBO, to act weirdly.
To better isolate this one, let's try signing in to your account using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues.
Just follow the keyboard shortcuts below to open a private browser:
Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
Safari: press Command + Shift + N
If you're able to unchecked the print later box, please switch back to your regular browser and clear cache. Just in case the problem persists, you can also try switching to a different supported browser.
Also, there's isn't a button in the settings that can unchecked the print later box, you'll have to manually unchecked it.
You can also edit the check created and unchecked the Print later box. Just go to the Expenses menu and edit the check from there.
I've added these articles that will walk you through the process of printing checks and how to correct alignment issues:

I am having this issue as well. Mine is random though. I will print a check, click that it printed properly, and go on to the next bill. When I go to print that check, the check that I had just printed is there waiting to be printed (even though it was already done) as if I hadn't just done it, and "print later" is checked when I go to the account and look at the payment. I hope that made sense...
Thanks for joining the thread,@dellanos1. I'm here to lend a hand with your issue about printing checks in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
To get rid of this problem, let's perform a few browser troubleshooting solutions to isolate the issue when you can't print some checks in QBO.
I suggest performing the steps through a private/incognito window. The private window will not save any history, making it a good place to identify browser problems. To save you time, use either of these keyboard shortcuts:
Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
Safari: press Command + Shift + N
If you're able to print your checks using a private browser, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing the cache or cookies is the best way to get a clean slate for your browser. Otherwise, using other supported browsers can be a good alternative too.

Because every printer is different, many of the troubleshooting techniques below assume you're familiar with your printer's configuration. If you're not sure how to apply these suggestions, talk to your IT department or the printer manufacturer's tech assistance.
There are a few things to consider before you begin troubleshooting. The following is an overview.
Ensure QuickBooks is updated to the latest release.
Your computer is connected to the printer and that the printer software is installed.
For specific printing error messages, you may search the QuickBooks Support site for the exact error.
First thing that you have to do is to check your printer. Use Notepad to see if your printer can print outside of QuickBooks.
Select Start and browse to Notepad.
Enter some text and choose File, then Print.
Select the correct printer and then select Print.
Second, if that print test didn’t work, follow these steps. If it did work, go directly to step 3.
Turn off the printer, restart your computer and then turn the printer back on.
Make sure the printer paper is loaded correctly.
Select the Window Start button, browse to the Control Panel and then double-click Printers and Faxes.
If the printer shows offline, right-click the printer and then select Use Printer Online.
Double-click the printer and if there are printer jobs displayed in the queue, choose Printer, then Cancel All Documents.
Close the window and then Right-click the printer, choose the Properties and then select Print Test Page.
