Hello maryl,

I'm here to share why you're unable to modify the invoice form. Rest assured, I'll help you achieve your goal.

When the form style has Preview PDF instead of Edit, it signifies that it's an imported style. The arrow next to the form defers it from a standard one. Thus, you're unable to modify it.

What we can do to edit the form is to import another style and then remap it so you can add additional fields. You can do so by clicking the drop-down arrow beside New style on the Custom form styles page. Then, select Import style.

To further help you map your fields and determine what information to include in your style, you can use this link as a guide: Importing Custom Invoice Templates into QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, if you want to take and process invoice payments online, you can check this article: Learn how to accept electronic customer payments for online invoices and in-person sales.

You can always mention my name if you need help importing form styles.
