Question

I am splitting posted deposits/debits. The system will not keep my entries. All classes have been entered. Why does it give me this message "You didn't select a class"?

Hi there, @roseanna12.

Currently, we have an ongoing investigation about getting this error message when adding or matching bank transactions. Rest assured that our engineers are working to identify what's causing the issue and provide a permanent fix.

I encourage you to reach out to our Customer Care Team to add your account to the list of affected users. This way, you will get notified of any updates on the progress of the investigation via email. Provide this investigation number: INV-47682.

You can contact our support through the Help icon in your account. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to the Help icon.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Enter your questions or concerns and click on Let's talk.
  4. Choose either Start a chat or Get a callback.

In the meantime, some customers were able to post the transactions on the second attempt or adding them again after getting the error message.

Otherwise, you may consider turning off this warning from the Accounts and Settings page.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Accounts and settings.
  3. Select the Advanced tab.
  4. Under the Categories section, turn off Track classes.
  5. Click Save and Done.

Additionally, you can browse our Help articles for future references. From there, you can get reliable resources to help easily accomplish your tasks in QuickBooks.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm always here to help. Have a good one.
