Hey there, thetlhunter@gmai.

Thanks for turning to the Community for support. I'm happy to provide some info so you're able to link the bill to an invoice in QuickBooks Online.

Just to make sure I'm on the same page, is the transaction you need to link a billable expense? If so, there are just a few steps to get this done. Here's how:

1. Click + New.
2. Select Invoice.
3. In the Customer ▼ dropdown menu, select the customer you created a billable expense for. This opens the Add to invoice window.
4. Choose Add on the billable expense you want to charge to your customer.
5. Select Save and close.

The following article provides additional info about entering billable expenses in QuickBooks Online. Be sure to look over the "Add billable expenses to invoices" section.

Please feel free to drop a comment below if you have any other questions. I'll be here to lend a hand.
