Hello there, @maddux2858-yahoo.

Let me provide you information on why your customer's deposit is on hold.

The hold may be placed on the funds when something unexpected happens in your transactions. These are the common reasons for the transactions hold:

  • When your transaction is being processed after several authorization attempts and failures.
  • When your payment processing exceeds the established maximum dollar amount expected on your account.
  • When our systems identify processing patterns that pose a risk to any of the parties involved: You, your customer, or Intuit.
  • When certain transactions require verification of your business type to ensure it is compliant with the Intuit Acceptable Use Policy.

For more information about the hold deposit in your QuickBooks Online account, you can read these articles:

Please know that the credit card deposit takes 1 to 2 business days while bank transfer (ACH) will take 2 to 7 business days to reach your bank. If it exceeds the given length of time since the transactions were made, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support. In that way, they're able to request account information to pull up your company details.

I've also added an article to help you check when QuickBooks deposits customer payments into your bank account: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.

If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to leave a message in the comment section. I'll be happier to help. Take care, and have a good day.
