Hello there, coconeedleshop.

I see it's not easy to deal with this. Let me ask, haven't you tried refreshing your browser or accessing your QBO account through an incognito window? If so, we can start refreshing your browser by clicking the Reload icon or pressing F1 on your keyboard.

If the same thing happens, consider logging in to a private browser to isolate the issue. Here's how to access QuickBooks in a private browser, choose depending on your browser:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once logged in and QuickBooks works efficiently, we can say that the regular browser we used to log in has a lot of stored data that need to eliminate in order to speed things up. Follow the steps given by this article on how to clear the cache: Delete browser cache.

Aside from that, we can use other compatible browsers in QBO since each of them uses a different cache storage folder on your computer. Here are they:

  • Google Chrome.
  • Mozilla Firefox.
  • Microsoft Edge.
  • Safari 11 or newer (Mac only).

On the other hand, you can also check this article: Performance overview for QuickBooks Online. From there, you'll find out several reasons why QuickBooks is slow and figure out how to improve our QuickBooks performance without experiencing the same behavior.
