Question

I have marked all "products" as services. When I go to preview an estimate, some services display as Totals and others show Qty and Rate, which I'd like to get rid of.

Here's an example.  The first and last items are displaying Qty and Rate.  How can I get rid of this info so it looks cleaner?  I couldn't see that I did anything different to change how it displays from the other items.  Thanks for your help.

Hi there, @jalmirall. I can walk you through the process of how to get rid of the Quantity and Rate when previewing estimates in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To do so, let's modify your estimate template to exclude the quantity and rate when previewing estimates, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Custom form styles
  2. Choose an existing estimate, then Edit.
  3. From there, click on Content then table to start editing that section.
  4. Uncheck the Quantity and Rate boxes.

  5. Then click Done.

Another way is to uncheck the Include Quantity and Rate under Description. See the screenshot below for your reference:

That should do it. To learn more about personalizing your template on sales forms, check out this link: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, if you want to have a snapshot of your transactions you can run reports in QuickBooks Online.

I'll be right here to help you if you have further questions. Keep safe always.
