Question

I have transactions in QB Self Employed which are not reflected on my bank statement. Labeled as "Interest Charge" or "Excessive Fee". Range from $3.00 to more than $100

Let's figure out where this transaction is coming from, @nann.

The bank transactions that are being downloaded on the Transactions page always depend on how a bank shared it with QuickBooks. If you don't have this transaction from your online bank account, this can be a manually added or a transaction that was imported through a CSV file.

You can delete this if this is added manually or exclude it if it's an imported transaction.

To delete a manually added transaction:

  1. From the Transactions tab, click the transaction.
  2. Click the Delete button.

To exclude a transaction:

  1. From the Transactions tab, click to open the transaction.
  2. Click the Exclude this transaction box.
  3. Tap on Save once you're done.

Here's more information about manually adding transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If it's neither a manually added nor an imported transaction, then I suggest reaching out to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) Customer Support. Their tools can get into your account in a secure environment and verify where this transaction is coming from.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. Go to the Help icon to connect to a live support agent.
  2. Hit on Continue after providing some insights about the concern that you're having today in the Ask a question (or tell us what's wrong) box.
  3. You'll now provided with options on how to connect to them.

Check this article on how to contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.
