If I click "Make recurring" on an existing invoice that has been sent already, remove items, then click save template, does it modify the sent invoice online?

Common sense says no to my question, however, when I click "save template" quickbooks warns that changes to invoices will be seen online. Also, when I'm modifying the invoice template, it has the invoice history for the existing invoice listed on the template form. So it is misleading.
