Is there a report that will show me the amount of a certain item that we sold and the amount of that certain item we used in an assembly?  For example we sold 25 of X in January and used 3 of X in January totally the amount for January as 28.

Hi there, @carriesherman.

Currently, we're unable to show an inventory sales report that would give the parts inventory amount used on an assembly.

I recognize that this kind of report is beneficial when breaking down the amounts taken out from an inventory.

For now, you can pull up a statement that would show the inventory sales and amounts taken out like the Inventory Valuation Detail statement. Then run the Inventory Stock Status by Item to see the value of inventory items taken to make an assembly. Just go to the Reports menu and then select Inventory to get these reports.

Also, you can check our QuickBooks page to stay current with some of our product updates and feature enhancements: Firm of the Future.

In case you need to update inventory quantity, I'll share this article as your reference for the detailed steps on how to handle it in QuickBooks Desktop: Adjust your inventory or value in QuickBooks Desktop.
