Is there a way to add another separate business so I can do a P&L statement for each?

At the moment, QuickBooks does not support multiple entities with separate P&L statements. If you want to open the two accounts at the same time. You'll need to use a different link to open it.

If you have more than one branch or division, you may utilize the Class feature in QBO Plus. But in therm of cost, consider opening a second QBSE account.
