It's nice to see you in the QuickBooks Community again, Kartman. Please know that the Tags feature still appears on the Transactions menu. I've got the steps to help you see the said option in QuickBooks Self Employed.
To begin, make sure that the option mentioned above is enabled under the Labs section. This way, it'll appear on your transactions in QBSE.
Here's how:
Click the Gear icon at the top.
Choose Labs.
Go to the Tagging option and click the Turn it on button.
Once done, go to the Transactions menu and select a particular entry. You'll then click the drop-down arrow to see the Tags field from there. I've attached a screenshot below for visual reference.
If you're still unable to see Tags on your end, I suggest accessing your QBSE account using a private browser. Then, perform the process above from there. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, and private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.
Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:
For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.
If it works in incognito, you have to clear the cache of your regular browser. This clears the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. If the steps above don't work, use another supported browser.
Lastly, refer to this article if you need further details on how to record your self-employed income and expenses, and prepare your Schedule C tax form seamlessly: Overview of QuickBooks Self-Employed.
I'm always willing to lend a hand in case you have any other concerns about Tags in QBSE. I'll keep an eye out for your response,
Please let me know if there's anything else that I can do for you. I'm happy to lend a helping hand in getting you back to business, Kartman. Take care and stay safe!
