Hey guys, under my bank transactions, everything is reviewed, but im missing tons of transactions, they dont appear in the bank register or anywhere.

I can see the transactions in my actual bank statements, but not in quickbooks. and because the transactions are from over 90 days ago, I can't export the transactions from my bank account.

other than typing in hundreds of missing transactions, the only other solution I see is to cancel my quickbooks and hire a bookkeeper.

What should i do?

I can assist you in getting those online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online, @Procamdetailing.

I can see that the system can't download transactions from your bank later than 90 days. It's because the system is limited to downloading transactions from up to 90 days, and it also varies to other banks that can sync transactions up to a year.

No worries, I'll guide you on how to add those missing transactions without typing those hundreds of transactions by hand. All you have to do is check the oldest transaction that you reviewed/categorized from your QuickBooks Online (QBO) Banking window or bank account register.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Bookkeeping or Accounting, then select Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the bank you want to upload the transactions to.
  3. Select View register.
  4. Find and write down the date of the oldest transaction. Usually, the oldest entry is the opening balance.

Once you have the date of the oldest bank transaction, we'll have to start downloading a day older than the oldest entry you see from your bank register in QBO.

  1. Sign in to your bank's website.
  2. Follow your bank's instructions to download transactions in a CSV file to your computer. Every financial institution has different steps. Here are steps for Bank of AmericaChase, and Wells Fargo.
  3. Check the date range for the download. It should be at least one day before the date of your oldest transaction.
  4. Download your transactions. You can save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like your computer's desktop.

We also support other file types, specifically QBO and QFX. You can easily upload them into the system. If your bank gives you the CSV file, ensure to review it using an Excel application to see if it is in the correct format. This way, you can import them into the system seamlessly.

On the other hand, you've mentioned that you can't import transactions from your bank account. You'll want to contact your financial institution to get your bank transactions later than 90 days. In this manner, they can assist you in exporting or downloading them. Usually, they can email or let you download it as an XLSXLSXPDFDOCX, and DOC.

If this is the case, you'll want to convert them into a CSV file using a third-party file converter tool. I may not be able to suggest a converter tool, but you can see it free on other online websites by using a search engine like Google.

Once your QuickBooks-supported file type is ready, you can follow Step 4 from this article to import them in QBO: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. Then, you can follow steps 5 and 6 to manage your online banking transactions using this resource.
