Thank you for adding a post here on the Community page, @bryanbaysinger.

Allow me to share additional information about creating invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

From the Invoice window in QBSE, you can add as many characters you want to enter in the description section. You just need to tap on the Enter tab from your keyboard to enlarge the field. I'm adding these screenshots as your visual references.

Also, this article shares the details on how to manage and create invoices in QBSE. You can read the details from here for more information.

Our help articles also contain information that will serve as your references while working with QuickBooks in the future. Feel free to open each of them as your guides in the future.

Click on the Reply button and add a comment below if you have any other questions. I'm always here to help you out. Keep safe always,@bryanbaysinger!

When I press the "Enter" key it saves the field and closes it.  I am on a Mac running the latest OSX using Safari.

Thanks for the quick response, @bryanbaysinger.

You'll want to press SHIFT+Enter or Command+Enter to move your cursor to the next line in MAC. This way, you can add more text to the invoice description.

You can view all of your open and completed invoices on the Invoices menu. It's where you manage invoices like printing, exporting them as PDFs, and sending reminders for those that are overdue.

Please check out our QBSE help guide for more tips and recommendations to QBSE related-issues.
