Set up for Etsy vs PayPal accounts

In recent months I began selling eCommerce first via PayPal and then also Etsy. I sell the same product in both. I thought I'd set up an organized system of accounts for PayPal and now Etsy's automatic setup is quite different. I'd like to streamline and unify. To those selling in similar fashions, how do you set up your accounts?

I understand how important it is to set up your Etsy and Paypal accounts in QuickBooks, adunate. I'm here to assist you.

When you use the Sync with Etsy app, QuickBooks Online automatically creates an account. This ensures the system knows where to deposit your sales and charges for your seller fees. For more details about the integration process, please see this article: Etsy and QuickBooks Online.

As for Paypal, you'll have to connect it to the program. Then, you'll be prompted to create an account. I'd suggest checking out this article for the detailed instructions: Use the Connect to PayPal App.

Additionally, I've included these articles that'll help you manage your sale transactions in QuickBooks. This way, you'll be able to ensure your record is accurate:

I'm only a few clicks away if you need assistance with your other QuickBooks tasks, adunate. It's always my pleasure to help you out again.

Thanks for your reply. I've previously used the links you suggest and yes, they are helpful for initially setting up both PayPal and Etsy accounts. However, as I've noted the accounts each one sets up is quite different. I'd like to streamline a bit and somehow unify. To those who have organized in a more personalized fashion, do you wish to share? For example, maybe you have an overall category for (Product) Sales and sub-categories as Etsy and PayPal?

@adunate

Consider having only one app (i.e a paid app) to reconcile your PayPal and Etsy transactions into your QBO account and avoid duplications.
