So I deposited 2 checks and one was for a downpayment of work the other a loan it wont let me split them any answers on how to do this?

If this is a deposit that got downloaded and you're looking at it in the bank feeds, then click on the transaction to expand the details and then click SPLIT.  This will give you a screen where you can divide up the deposit among multiple offsetting accounts.
