I'll help you figure out what happened to the customer, cgalla-live-com.

When a similar name is already added in your account and you're updating a different customer with the same information, the system will prompt you to merge them.

After merging, your current customer will show as deleted. Then, transactions will be transferred over to the existing customer.

To see which customer it was merged from, you can run the Audit Log report and view the history.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear > Audit Log.
  2. Click Filter and select the User and Date.
  3. Hit Apply.
  4. Under the Events column, you will see a description that says "Merged Customer" following the customers name. You can also click the View link from the History column to see more details.

If you want to make the customer active again, you can click the Make active link under the Action column.

You can read this article for more details: Make a customer inactive and then active.

To move the transactions back, click the customer where the transactions are added. Then, open each transaction and change the customer's name from the drop-down list.

I'm also adding this article for reference: Merge Accounts, Customers, and Vendors.

You're always welcome to post a reply here if you have any follow-up questions. I'm just a few clicks away to help you again.
