I have some information about the missing box to,tstas1-student-e.

Adjusting journal entries helps accountants fix minor errors or record uncategorized transactions. This feature is only available in QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA). And that's likely the reason why the box isn't displayed. Check out this link for more info: Make adjusting journal entries in QuickBooks Online Accountant. If you're an accountant, you can sign up for the supported plan. See this for the details: QBOA Plans and Pricing.

If not and you want to update or correct a journal entry that you create, simply reverse or delete it completely depending on the situation. Here's how:

To reverse a journal entry:

  1. Click on Settings ⚙️ and then Chart of accounts.
  2. Go to the account you created the journal entry for. Then hit View register.
  3. Find the journal entry in the account register. The word "Journal" should be in the Ref No. or Type column.
  4. Choose the journal entry to expand the view. Then select Edit.
  5. hit Reverse.
  6. Tap Save.

To delete a journal entry:

  1. Click on Settings ⚙️ and then Chart of accounts.
  2. Locate the account you created the journal entry for. Then hit View register.
  3. Find the journal entry in the account register. The word "Journal" should be in the Ref No. or Type column.
  4. Choose the journal entry to expand the view.
  5. Tap Delete.
  6. Select Yes to confirm.

For future reference, here's how you can get a copy of your entries: Print a journal entry report in QuickBooks Online.
