The Asset Value for an Inventory Item is not showing on the Valuation Summary?

The Value shows $0 on the Summary, however, the cost and retail show when I look at the item specifically.

Cost on the item screen is the most recent ordered cost unless you just entered something in that block.

Inventory has to be ordered and received to stock qty and cost, if the report says asset value (cost) is zero then that has not happened

You have to turn on item details in company settings, then use that section when ordering to specify the item, qty and total cost.
