Question

We have another day where existing customers don’t post sales tax to their invoices. These are taxable customers who have always had tax charged. Until this update.

Hello, @melvin1. I am here to help you resolve your sales tax concerns. Let's work together to sort this out.

You need to ensure that all customers are set up for taxation. Double-check and Mark a customer as taxable.

If you continue to experience the same problem, Let's try to refresh the app's data to fix some data issues on the app. Depending on your phone, you can follow the steps provided below.

For the IOS version:

  1. Go to the Menu icon and tap Help & Feedback.
  2. Select Refresh Data.
  3. If you get a prompt message, "Caution. If there was a problem getting your latest QuickBooks Online data, you can refresh it now. It may take a few minutes."
  4. Tap Refresh to confirm.

For Android:

  1. Go to the Menu icon, then tap More Options ⋮.
  2. Tap Settings, then Refresh Data.
  3. Select YES to confirm.

If you are facing the same issue, I would recommend uninstalling and then reinstalling the app to see if it resolves the problem.

I have also attached an article that can assist you with recording the payments you have received for your invoices: How to record customer payments in the QuickBooks Mobile App.
