When I enter a journal entry or I also have recurring journal entries post the Journal No repeats. Is their away to turn this feature off.

We're unable to disable the journal no. in Quickbooks since this is a posting transaction. However, you'll have the ability to control the sequence and use the counting scheme you'd prefer. I'll guide you how:

1. Go to the Gear icon (⚙)  then click Account and Settings 
2. From the Sales menu select Sales form content section and check the box to enable Custom transaction numbers. 
3. Click Save and then Done.

Once done, click the journal entry and enter the correct number. This way, the sequence will start based on the last number you entered.

1. Click the (+) New and select Journal entry. 
2. In the Journal no. field, enter the correct sequence number you'd like for the entry to have.
3. Once finished, click Save and close.

You can also turn on the Warn if duplicate journal number is used feature. This way, you can get a warning message when you have a duplicate number for a certain transaction:

Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Account and Settings.
2. Navigate to the Advanced tab, then to Other preferences.
3. Click on the Pencil icon to edit. Then turn On (Warn if duplicate journal number is used)
4. Hit Save then Done.
