Welcome to the Community space, @tupelodent2. We appreciate you for raising your concern here. Upon reading your concern, we understand the confusion it gives you. Let me share insights into why sometimes our accounts system is acting oddly and offer help to fix it.
Sometimes accumulated data from our regular browser is the cause of why the paycheck info in the register is different when you try to edit it. And currently, there's no existing investigation into this issue.
In the meantime, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to determine if this is a browser-related issue. Let's start by opening your QBO account via incognito mode to avoid storing cache data. We can use the shortcut keys below as shortcuts:
Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
Safari: press Command + Shift + N
Then, open your paycheck and try to edit again. If this works, clear the cache of your regular browser to remove accumulated data. If the issue persists, you can use another supported browser or device. It might be that the current one you're using has a temporary issue with the program.
If the error persists after performing the steps above and checking your internet speed if the error persists, we recommend contacting QBO Payroll Live Support. They can review your account in a safe environment. You can also ask follow-up questions to help you clear things up. Additionally, they can create an investigation into this issue if they discover that other users are also experiencing the same.
