 I-Infinity has its roots in India and Taiwan combining the strengths of both countries in terms of hardware and software. A Digital Signage Solution, they have worked in some of the most interesting spaces, the craziest one being inside Mumbai local trains. We chat with the founders Rakesh Galav, Piyush Verma and Suresh Choudhary about the Venture.

An Excerpt from the Interview

What made you start your venture?

We are a team of professionals having worked in various domains. We put together capabilities around Product & Business Development and started with an aim to bring efficiency, effectiveness, and ease of use in products /solutions that we deliver. We believe we have unique capabilities that can help create a difference. This belief allowed us to begin our entrepreneur journey.

What has been the key to your business’s success?

“Listen and act upon the customer needs” has helped us gain and retain customers. We are nimble and able to mold ourselves quickly. Of course, that requires hard work and focus from whole team.

What are the major challenges in your line of business and how did/do you overcome them?

There are two sides to the challenge – how to create a great solution that leads in terms of features, ease of use, reliability but same time is also cost effective. A well rounded product strategy and unique technology skill set has helped us achieve this. The second challenge is the market side. Here, focus on customer is our mantra. We have been expanding our solution verticals to gain enter in to new areas.

Do you have a mentor who guides/advices you on matters of the business?

We have founders with multiple skills set who have spent a long time in professional companies. We have been the guiding and mentoring force behind the company.

Have you benefitted from the use of any specific technology for your regular operations?

We use normal tools available to any businesses today for normal operations. Web, Office, skype etc. those help us communicate and manage multi location teams effectively.

What strategy do you follow for Customer Satisfaction & Expansion?

We have to put right capabilities in place. We have got some and we are constantly building more. E.g. we had a good experience around embedded but when we decided to enter also in the smart home solutions, we had to build products with electronics skill set.

The new capabilities coupled with our prior experience in applications helped us bring new solution quicker than anyone can possibly imagine. Our established eco system is helping us to reach to market place quickly.

What, according to you, are the top 3 skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?

Top three skill sets required for entrepreneurs from our experiences are o Focus & determination: It is a tough journey, entrepreneurs have to stay focused on the larger objective while taking hits and successes each day.

Inter-personal, Communication Skills: Business can’t be done in isolation. An entrepreneur needs to bond with the internal and external stake holders.

Leadership: It is important to have the vision and lead the team towards a successful outcome.
