Getting error 103 when trying to connect to bank. My banks recently changed from CUA to GS. ever since I can’t connect to bank. Anyone else had this problem??

Hello there, @userdontcatchmeclean. I've come to share details of why you're getting error 103 when connecting to the Credit Union Australia (CUA) bank in QuickBooks Online (QBO), and guide you on the steps you need to take to help resolve the issue.

You'll get error 103 when your bank login credentials (user ID or password) are incorrect. However, for the time being, based on our records, we have an ongoing investigation about the connection between QBO and CUA bank that's giving users, like you, error 103.

Yes, you're correct that there's a change in provider name from CUA to Great Southern (GS) Bank, as well as website login details. These recent updates lead to this connection issue. Rest assured that our engineers are aware and actively working on a fix to accommodate these changes and take care of the matter with utmost urgency. Hopefully, you can connect to your bank and download transactions in no time.

In keeping with this, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team. They can add your account to the list of affected users. This ensures you're in the loop about the investigation's status and its fix. You can provide the INV-72419 as your reference. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO company.
  2. Go to the Help (?) menu.
  3. Select the Search tab.
  4. Click the Contact Us button.
  5. Enter a brief description of your concern in the What can we help you with? field.
  6. Select Continue.
  7. Choose a way to connect with us (Send a message/Chat or Get a callback/Callback).

You may temporarily opt to upload your transactions to QBO. But, please note that once the connection is fixed, there's a tendency for duplication. You'll have to exclude those duplicate ones to keep your account updated.

Once the connection error is resolved, your transactions will automatically download. All you have to do is review and or match them to your existing entries to ensure your financial data is accurate. You can refer to this article for the complete guide: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Also, I would encourage you to reconcile your accounts every month. This helps you monitor your income and expense transactions and detect any possible errors accordingly. You may want to check out this article in case you need a complete guide to do so in QBO: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Please don't hesitate to leave a comment below on how it goes. If there's anything else you need or banking concerns and questions about managing transactions in QBO, I'll be right here to help. Keep safe always, @userdontcatchmeclean.
