I can't update my bank feed

I can help you get your latest bank transactions, useroreh-inc

If you've noticed that QuickBooks no longer automatically download new transactions, you can manually update your bank to get the latest ones available. Here's how to do it:

  1. Select Banking or Transactions from the sidebar menu.
  2. Head to the Banking tab.
  3. Choose the appropriate bank account.
  4. Select Update.

Once it's finished, check the For review section of the Banking page to view the new transactions.

Alternatively, you can try logging into your bank's website to check if they have server issues or undergoing maintenance. This occasion stops the online banking connection to QuickBooks.

Lastly, bank errors can also block the program from downloading your latest transactions. If you've encountered one, you can go to the Step 4 section of this article to be guided in fixing the error: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions.

After you get the bank transactions, it's time to categorize and match them. Then, reconcile your accounts so they always match your bank and credit card statements.

Feel welcome to drop a comment below if you need additional assistance in managing your bank transactions. Looking forward to helping you out again.

I can't update my bank feed

Thanks for checking in with us, Cashdarcy18.

If you are having trouble with connecting your bank feeds, just follow the steps provided by KlentB to troubleshoot the issue. However, if QuickBooks Online (QBO) is not working and you encounter odd behavior while using it, try signing in to your account using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues. Here's how:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. The overtime collection of data can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue. You can also use supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

If the same thing happens, I'd suggest contacting our Customer Support Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and investigate what's causing this issue. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help icon on the top right.
  2. Enter your concern in the search field.
  3. Choose Talk to a human.
  4. Click the OK. To get you to the right human, in a few words, tell me what you need help with option and tap I still need a human
  5. Press Contact us.
  6. Tick Continue
  7. Choose Message an agent.
