How can I print the list of bank rules?

Hi there, @jarpac.

Being able to print the list of bank rules in QuickBooks Online is currently unavailable. However, you can export the list to a spreadsheet and print it from there.

Here's how:

  1. Click on Banking at the left pane.
  2. Refer to the Rules tab.
  3. Select all the rules.
  4. Hit on the drop-down arrow beside New rule and choose Export rules.

I realize the importance of this option in your business. QuickBooks Online is continually developing and adding features based largely on the preference we get from our users. To get updates with our news and enhancements, I suggest visiting our QBO Blog.

Reach back out to me if you have any other questions. I'm here to help you out. Take care!

How can I print the list of bank rules?

Thanks for your comments Karen Edith.

I had already tried to export the rules but it downloads into Excel and is not decipherable.

Its of no use.

I would find it very handy and of assistance if I had a hard copy to refer to for all sorts of reasons.

If it could be included in a future upgrade that would be welcomed.

Thanks again

How can I print the list of bank rules?

Hi Arthur,

I'd be more than happy to pass this feedback on to our product team to be included in a future upgrade.

The only other thing I could recommend is taking a screen shot of the Bank Rules in order to print it.

I hope this helps!

How can I print the list of bank rules?

Great suggestion

I have a Banks Rule list that exceeds the size available on the screen.

I could of course print it a few times which is a work around.

Thanks again

The export does not export the actual settings. (i.e. What category the transactions is set to post to) Instead it exports useless coding data. QB really needs to figure out how to print a list of the a. rule name b. condition and c. (most important) settings.

I agree with this!  I just tried and still not available.  Seems like they could just make a report available in the reports section under Accounting and Taxes
