Allow or accept cookies for QuickBooks Online

Cookies are text files stored on your computer by websites. Allowing cookies for QuickBooks Online helps save time as there is no need to re-enter your information on your next visit.

Follow these steps to allow cookies for your browser.

Note: To have the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks Online, use a supported and up-to-date browser.

Accept cookies in Firefox for Windows

  1. Select Tools (or the three horizontal bar icon), then choose Options.
  2. Go to the Privacy tab.
  3. Select the Firefox will: drop-down , then choose Use custom settings for history.
  4. Find the Accept cookies from sites option. If you feel comfortable with this option, leave it checked as well as the option to Accept third party cookies.
  5. If not, uncheck the Accept cookies from sites option, then select Exceptions.
  6. In the Address of Website field, enter https://qbo.intuit.com.
  7. Select Allow, then choose Save Changes.

Accept cookies in Firefox for Mac

  1. Select the Firefox menu, then Preferences.
  2. Go to the Privacy tab.
  3. Select the Firefox will: drop-down, then choose Use custom settings for history.
  4. Find the Accept cookies from sites option. If you feel comfortable with this option, leave it checked as well as the option to Accept third party cookies.
  5. If not, uncheck the Accept cookies from sites option, then select Exceptions.
  6. In the Address of Website field, enter https://qbo.intuit.com.
  7. Close the two pop-up windows.

Accept cookies in Safari 11 or later

  1. Select the Safari menu, then Preferences.
  2. In the Preferences window, select Privacy.
  3. In the Block Cookies section, select From third parties and advertisers Never.
  4. Close the preferences window.

Accept cookies in Chrome

  1. Select the Vertical ellipsis, then Options.
  2. Scroll down, then choose Advanced.
  3. Under Privacy and security settings, select Content settings.
  4. In the Content Settings dialog that appears, select Cookies.
  5. Make sure Allow local data to be set is selected to allow both first-party and third-party cookies. If you only want to accept first-party cookies, select the Block all third-party cookies without exception checkbox.
  6. Select Close.
Note: It's not necessary to close or reopen the browser after changing the settings. However, if you're on the You must enable cookies in order to continue screen when changing this setting, select the Back button to return to the login page and enter your password again.
