How do I record wages paid? I was adding in as an expense, and selected Salary/wages, superannuation expense and PAYG liabilities, but kept receiving an error about GST

I am yet to pay the PAYG and superannuation so wanted to record these as liabilities. But keep getting an error message about GST even though I selected it is out of scope

Hi kyle@isparkminin,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

May I please know the error message you're getting about GST? If you're not using the payroll feature in QuickBooks to record your pay run, you can enter your salary/wages paid via journal entry. However, if you're trying to record a salary/wages paid from the Banking tab, you can allocate the it to Payroll Clearing and Super payments can also be added as an Expense, but the account selected is Superannuation Payable

For your reference, you can also check on this article: Matching payroll payments in QuickBooks Online.
