Note: The Cash Flow planner isn't available for QuickBooks companies that have multi-currency enabled.

How does the Cash Flow planner make cash flow forecasts? What data is included?
The cash flow planner gets data from several sources to get a representative view of your business' cash flow. Future-looking data in the planner may include:
- Any unpaid QuickBooks transactions with a future due date. This includes invoices, bills, expenses, sales receipts, or payroll payments generated by QuickBooks Payroll. Once these are paid, they won't appear in the planner as future transactions.
- Transactions from your connected bank accounts.
- Money in or money out transactions predicted based on patterns in your historical data. This includes predicted credit card payments.
- Transactions you manually enter into the planner.
Can I apply a filter to the Cash flow planner?
Yes, you can apply a filter to the Cash flow planner.
The Cash flow planner has a monthly filter that displays the money going in and out.
To apply a filter:
- Go to Dashboards, then select Planner (Take me there).
- Select the month filter shown below Today's cash balance to set the forecast range.
- When you select 24 months, you'll see cash flow for the past 9 months, the current month, and 14 months into the future.
- When you select 12 months, you'll see cash flow for the past 9 months, the current month, and 2 months in the future.
- When you select 6 months, you'll see cash flow for the past 3 months, the current month, and 2 months into the future.
- When you select 3 months, you'll see cash flow for the past 1 month, current, and next 1 month.
Can I change transactions in the planner? Will changes impact my books?
Everything you do is contained in the planner. Changes here won't impact your books in any way.
Can I download my Cash Flow report?
Yes, you can download your Cash Flow report.
To download the report:
- Go to Dashboards, then select Planner (Take me there).
- From the Download Report dropdown, select Export as CSV or Save as PDF.
Can I change events in the planner? Will changes impact my books?
Everything you do is contained in the planner. Changes here won't impact your books in any way.
