Customise or change sounds in QuickBooks Time

Learn how to set, change, or mute sounds to play when a team member clocks in, switches jobs or customers, and clocks out on a computer. 

Install the sounds add-on

1. In QuickBooks Time, select Feature Add-ons, then select Manage Add-ons.
2. Search for Sounds, and select Install, if it is not already installed.
3. In the Sounds Preferences window, make your selections in the dropdowns. To hear the sound, select the play icon .

Change or mute sounds

If you or your team member wants to change or mute sounds:

1. In QuickBooks Time, select your profile, and select the sounds icon beside Profile. 
2. Do one of the following:
   • To mute all sounds, tick Mute sounds.
   • To change the sounds, select the dropdowns to make selections. To hear the sound, select the play icon .
