The Finance Agent is a feature designed to help you analyse your business performance. It summarises key financial reports, including the profit and loss statement, cash flow statement, and balance sheet. By providing financial insights, highlighting trends and risks, and enabling detailed data exploration, the Finance Agent supports informed business decisions.
Accessing the Finance Agent
You can find the Finance Agent panel in two locations:
Features of the Finance Agent
The Finance Agent offers several tools to help you understand your financial data:
- Business Performance Insights: View insights filtered by report period and accounting method.
- Financial Summaries: Access key performance highlights and analysis for income and expenses (Profit & Loss). These summaries present data for the current and previous months and include year-over-year comparisons. This information can highlight significant changes and assist in forecasting.
- Anomaly Detection: Identify unusual entries or discrepancies within your accounts and budgets.
- Detailed Breakdowns: Examine summary totals, like total income, in greater detail. You can break down these totals by categories such as customer or class to understand the contributing factors.
- Data Refresh: Your financial information is updated automatically every 24 hours. You also have the option to manually refresh the data if needed.
- Editing and Exporting: Modify the insights generated by the agent. Export insights as PDF files for sharing or record-keeping.
Summary Generation Schedule
The Finance Agent generates summaries according to a specific schedule:
- Your agent generates a summary for the previous month on the 5th day of the current month. This schedule allows time for most businesses to complete their month-end closing procedures.
- If you view the business feed between the 1st and the 5th of the month, the summary displayed will be for the month before the last fully completed one.
Using Financial Insights
The detailed financial summaries and the ability to drill down into specific totals provide comprehensive performance data. Use this information to support better business planning decisions. Use your data to compare your company's performance against industry peers, goals, or budgets.
