If the employee wants to sign up for Swag, the employer will need to ensure the user is enabled for portal access. The employee doesn't need a specific invite to login, as long as they have employee portal access, they can download Swag and login.

WorkZone will be decommissioned on 31 January 2024 for QuickBooks Online Payroll customers. Now that Swag is available, it's our recommended mobile self-service app for users of QuickBooks Payroll powered by Employment Hero.

WorkZone users will be notified directly and we recommend that WorkZone users download the Swag app as soon as possible to begin enjoying the improved experience.

All workforce management features that were previously in WorkZone will be available in Swag.
However, in the new app the location of these may have changed. For example, pay slips are no longer accessed via the Employee File page, but are now found in the horizontal navigation bar. If there is a feature that you can’t locate, we recommend visiting the Swag support and chat area directly.

There are no additional fees to use Swag. Swag is included in your existing QuickBooks Payroll Subscription.

As part of the QuickBooks Payroll subscription, your employees will have access to all the familiar features from WorkZone plus some additional functionality from the Swag offering. You can learn more about the Swag offering for QuickBooks Payroll customers here.
