Let me share some information about accepting card payments in QuickBooks, jackson16.
For now, setting up payments for your PayPal with a recurring transaction is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You can only create templates for recurring transactions for expenses, or invoices. You'll want to search for a third-party application that supports your business needs.
In connection with this, you can also take advantage of the Days in advance to create options on scheduled recurring templates. This way, you'll have visibility into future cash flow as well as the ability to send reminders to clients before the transaction date. For more information, check out this article for more details: Schedule Recurring Transactions Created With A Template.
QuickBooks provides different reports and projections to get a clear look at your current and future business finances. In case you want to know the amount of money moving in and out of your business and bank account, I have this information that you can read so you'll be guided: Track Your Cash Flow In QuickBooks Online.
You can always get back to us anytime if you have additional concerns about recurring transactions. Always remember, we're here to make sure we'll be able to give the help that you need. Have a great day ahead!
You need a 3rd party app to do so. You can utilize a subscription management app or another app to reconcile Paypal transactions into QBO.
Hi, thanks for the quick reply. Can this feature be made available please? Regular invoices can be paid via paypal, and I think it's fair to ask that recurring invoices should have the same capability too.
We're taking note of your feedback and suggestion, @jackson16.
We can't assure you that the option to accept PayPal payments with recurring transactions will be available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). As a workaround, you can consider looking for a third-party app as stated by my colleague MariaSoledadG above.
I can see how beneficial it is to you and your business to have this option. For now, I'd suggest submitting feedback to our product engineers. They may look into this suggestion and consider adding the option in future updates. To send feedback, you can click the Gear icon and select Feedback. Then, enter your suggestion and click Submit Feedback.
