Hi there, Ben.

 

Welcome to the Community. Let me provide insights about sending sales receipts in QuickBooks.

 

Sending sales receipts automatically isn't yet an option when matching a bank transaction to the invoice.

 

For now, you can send or email your receipts manually, here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu and then select the Receipts tab.
  2. Select Forward from email.
  3. In the Enter a custom email field, create a customised email address. It will have @qbodocs.com at the end.
  4. When you're ready, select Customise email and then Confirm. Note: Once you claim an email address, you can't change it.
  5. Give permission for users to forward emails to your new email address by turning on the toggle for each user. Or to add a new user, select Add new user
  6. Then select Done.

I'm with QB self employed. When pressing paid after invoices were received it would come up with a send receipt option and now it does not.

For my job i need to be able to send paid receipts to clients.

I'll help you fix with your missing sending receipts button in QuickBooks Self Employed, 090513.

 

May I know if you're getting any error messages when you trying to send receipts to your clients ?  If you've received an error saying "Your email isn’t set up for receipt forwarding", I have a fix for this. Let's try sign in your QuickBooks Self Employed account. Then, register the email again for receipt forwarding via the Gear icon at the top of the right corner.

 

If no error found out, let's perform some browser troubleshooting steps. Let's start by accessing QuickBooks (QBO) account using a private browser. The following are the shortcut keys you can use:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl Shift P
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

 

If this works, you can clear the cache and cookies of your browser. If not, you can use another supported browser. Possible that your current browser may have a temporary issue with QuickBooks.
