Hi smf4655,

You will be able to purge your file if it is under 90 days old. If it's older than this, you will need to cancel the subscription and create a new file. If your file is under 90 days, ensure you are including the correct information in the URL when purging. As an example, on your Dashboard you may see it as https://c7.qbo.intuit.com/app/homepage (or something similar) - you need to ensure only the last word is changed, eg https://c7.qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany

You may also need to clear your browser's cache for optimal performance. We would suggest using Google Chrome for the best QuickBooks Online experience and you can do so by:

  1. In Chrome, hold down Ctrl+Shift+Delete and a pop-up will appear on your screen. You can also access this by selecting the Chrome menu (top right corner, three dots in a vertical line) and clicking More Tools, then Clear Browsing Data.
  2. Select the option 'clear cached images' and make sure the other two options are unticked.
  3. Select the time range All Time, then Clear Browsing Data.
  4. Once this is complete, the pop-up will disappear. Please restart your browser and log in once more.
