My account settings doesnt have the option of payments to recevie bank tranfers from the invoice

I would like my clients to pay through my bank account but I cant add that option in my account

Hi there, awesomemelbourne.

 

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. Let me discuss what specific app is being used in QuickBooks Australia in accepting invoice payments. Then, ensure you can pay your customer through bank transfer.

 

There's no option to set up receiving bank transfers from the invoice in the Account and settings. For now, connecting the Accept Card Payments with the PayPal app is the only payment processing option for QuickBooks Online in Australia. This is to allow customers to pay invoices by credit/debit card powered by PayPal payments.

 

To start with, you can log in as an Admin user in your QuickBooks Online account. Then, go to the Apps center to find the Accept Card Payments with PayPal app.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Apps menu on the left panel.
  2. Search for the Accept Card Payments with PayPal app and select Get app now.
  3. You will be directed to a new page to connect your PayPal business account. You can follow the prompts to grant permission for PayPal to connect to QuickBooks. Then, you'll be prompted to return back to QuickBooks Online.
  4. Confirm the Chart of Account name you would like PayPal payments to be collected in and click Next.
  5. Select the Chart of Account name that you would like PayPal fees to be categorised to and choose Done.

 

Once done, you're all set up. Then, when you create a new invoice in QBP, the Accept card payments with PayPal box will be ticked and your customer will have the option to pay the invoice via PayPal. Please add your bank details and notes to your invoices so your customers know how to transfer their payments to you.

If you are running a service company, you can utilize a proposal management app to integrate with QBO and accept payments by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover (Domestic), JCB, UnionPay, and Direct Debit.
