Some customers are inactive. In 'Customers' list, the Inactive Customers also show, but the 'Include Inactive' is unticked in the Settings icon. How to fix this?

This has only recently happened as I was able to include and exclude Inactive Customers as necessary in the past. How can I make it the same as previously?

The issue with your customer list in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is likely caused by a browser-related problem, so let's work together to troubleshoot and fix this, President9.

Corrupted cache files in your browser can create discrepancies that hinder the display of transactions. I have a set of steps that can help resolve this situation.

First, log in to your account through a private or incognito browser to verify if this issue is browser-related. This way, you can access the most recent version of the webpage without storing data that might interfere with display issues. Open an incognito window using the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Shift + Ctrl + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. The overtime data collection can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue. You can also use supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue

Moreover, you may also want to learn how to send statements to show customers summaries of their invoices, payments, credits, and balances: Create and send customer statements in QuickBooks Online.
