When adding receipts on the banking screen, how can i set my bank account as the default bank account for the receipt payment?

Hi there, nicslat.

The option to set a default bank account for your receipts on the Banking screen is not available for now. When adding your receipts, you need to categorize them and set the account manually.

Here's how:

  1. Select the uploaded receipt.
  2. Tap on Review under Action.
  3. Fill in the information, then set the account from there.
  4. Do the same steps for other entries.

I can see the importance of setting a default account for uploaded receipts in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Rest assured our engineers are working nonstop to enhance the product the deliver the best experiences for all QuickBooks users. You can visit our blog site for the latest QuickBooks news and feature enhancements: The QuickBooks Blog.

For more tips about snapping and uploading receipts to QBO, you can open this link: Upload your receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online.

Aside from your receipts, you can also learn more about adding your income and expense transactions into the Banking page through this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

so we are still waiting for this? the original post was 3 years ago and the post said the engineers were working nonstop to bring this feature!!!!! Actually looks like the engineers aren’t actually working on this at all. Yet another clunky element of QuickBooks online, can't believe I'm still.paying for this.
