Can I change unpaid expenses to paid. So they are not appearing as overdue?

Hi usererin,

 

To change unpaid expenses from overdue, if they are attached to an open Bill it would be best to change and forward date the due date of the payment. This would then allow more time for you to make the payment towards the bill and change its status to open. If you wish to change unpaid expenses to paid, you will need to apply a Bill Payment. If these options help you can see below the steps to action them in your company file:

 

Changing a Bill's due date:

  1. Select Bill you wish to change
  2. Go to the Due date field 
  3. Change the date to one later in the future.
  4. Select Save and Close in the bottom right. 
  5. The status will change from Overdue.

Keep in mind expenses are usually used in QuickBooks Online to record an amount that has been paid or will be paid immediately. Bills can be used for amounts to be paid later.
