I'll help you out with your concern about separating business and personal funds in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @lilypinner-hotma.

 

You can create journal entries to record these type of transactions. I suggest consulting your accountant or bookkeeper on what accounts to use to keep your books accurate.

Thankyou but that’s just silly. I think I will stay using my self employed quick books because I can filter it it’s a swipe of the screen. I am a self employed sole trader & only wanted to use the online accounting one so my accountant had access but it seems it’s going to be more trouble than it’s worth. I’ve cancelled my subscription I might see if I can get a refund as I only used it for 30 minutes before I realised its not for me

You're on the right track, it is best to cancel your subscription right after you purchased it if you've decided it doesn't fit to run your business with. With this, I'd recommend contacting Customer Care Support.

 

With their tools, one of our specialists can pull up your account on file and processed the refund you need with conditions applied. You can do so by following the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter Subscription Refund in the What can we help you with? field.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Choose a channel where you wanted to connect with our team.
