Hi KerriC1,
Thanks for getting back to us. Let me provide some information regarding the reporting of salary sacrifice amounts in QuickBooks Online Payroll.
As STP Phase 2 reporting requires salary sacrifice amounts be itemised, there are 2 new classification options to the deduction category settings to meet these requirements. The new options are as follows:
You'll have to make sure the current setup you have is correct. Here's how to check:

Thank you for your reply Sheila.
However, as I have stated, it is not salary sacrificed super I am querying. It is additional employer super contributions. I need assistance with this type of super payment.
This is the guidance from the ATO with a similar situation;
Example 1: RESC and salary sacrifice type S
Jackie earns $60,000 per annum. During the employment process she negotiated an extra 2% ($1,200) super above the super guarantee (SG) rate. Because Jackie negotiated with her employer to pay extra super this must be reported as RESC.
Jackie has also decided to salary sacrifice $10,000 into super.
This is reported in STP Phase 2 as:
The RESC value is higher than the salary sacrifice type S because it includes:
In this example, how does the $1,200 extra super get reported in Quickbooks? I have previously included it as a "Super Adjustment" and it appears as "EC" in the pay run screen. It was previously getting reported as RESC in the STP reports, now it is not showing up at all on the STP report under phase 2.
Thanks for providing the additional information, KerriC1.
It is essential to ensure that the Reportable Employer Super Contributions (RESC), otherwise known as Salary Sacrifice Super, is set up correctly. You'll have to review the category mapping and classification set up in your payroll settings here.
Also, for us to further assist you, I would encourage you to reach out to our Customer Support Team for further checking the settings in your payroll account and ask for your details in a secure form.

Interested to see if you came up with a solution for this as I am also having this issue. It is not salary sacrifice super it is additional employer contributions - but not reporting as RESC?
